Pet Gundog Foundation Course (1 Year +)
Location: Ewelme Dog Field · Duration: 6 Weeks
Our Pet Gundog Foundation Course is designed for owners of gundog breeds and gundog crosses who want to meet their dog’s natural instincts in a fun, manageable way. Ideal for pet homes, this course focuses on building engagement, recall, obedience, calmness, and providing appropriate hunting and retrieving outlets.

Suitable for dogs 1 year+, with no previous gundog training required. 1 handler per dog.
Meet Donna Hudson
Dog trainer at Ewelme Dog Field
Donna is our dedicated dog trainer, bringing a lifetime of hands-on experience, professional qualifications and a calm, practical approach to every dog she works with.
Growing up locally, Donna was surrounded by dogs from an early age. With a father who was a gamekeeper and a small family shoot, dogs were always a central part of her life - shaping her deep understanding of canine behaviour and communication.
In 2009, Donna qualified as a dog psychologist. Although family life temporarily took her in a different direction, her passion for dogs never left. In 2025, she returned to her lifelong dream, completing her training and earning her title as a Certified Dog Trainer.
Donna continues to develop her skills through ongoing learning and real world experience with clients. Her specialist interests include:
- Understanding canine body language.
- Scent work
- Building confidence and clarity through structured training.
Donna’s training style focuses on breaking behaviours and skills into clear, manageable steps. This approach helps both dogs and owners succeed while strengthening the bond between them through better communication, trust and understanding.
She looks forward to welcoming you and your dog to the field and supporting you on your training journey.
