FIELD
ETIQUETTE.
At Ewelme Dog Field and The Orchard, we want everyone to have a fun and safe experience, so we’ve put together a few simple rules to follow while using the field. Please ensure your dog is supervised at all times, clean up after them, and respect the space by keeping the gates secure. We ask that all dogs are healthy, vaccinated, and up-to-date on treatments to keep the field safe for everyone. Be considerate of other visitors, and remember to always arrive and depart on time to maintain a smooth flow. Let’s keep the field clean, safe, and enjoyable for all!

-
Walking when it’s dark: If you book a slot outside of daylight hours, you are responsible for your own and your dog's safety. We suggest bringing a torch.
Scoop your own poop.
At Ewelme Dog Field, we are committed to maintaining a clean and enjoyable space for all visitors. To ensure the field remains a safe and pleasant environment, we require all dog owners to follow our Scoop Your Own Poop policy.
Policy Guidelines:
• Pick Up Immediately: Owners must clean up after their dogs immediately and dispose of waste in the designated bins provided on-site.
• Bring Your Own Bags: While we aim to provide waste bins, we recommend bringing your own poop bags to ensure you’re always prepared.
• No Excuses: Even if your dog goes in an out-of-the-way spot, it is still your responsibility to clean up after them.
• Leave No Trace: If you notice any uncollected waste, please help us keep the field clean by picking it up—even if it’s not from your dog.
Why This Matters:
- Keeps the field safe and hygienic for all users.
- Helps prevent the spread of disease and parasites.
- Ensures a positive experience for everyone who visits.
Failure to follow this policy may result in refusal of future bookings. Let’s work together to keep Ewelme Dog Field a clean, fun, and welcoming place for all!

-
Less than 48 hours’ notice: Bookings cannot be moved or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice. The booking will be forfeited and no refund, credit or alternative session will be provided.
-
No-shows & late arrivals: If you do not attend your booked session or arrive late, no refund, credit or rescheduling will be provided. Arriving late does not extend your booking, and all customers must leave at the original scheduled end time.
-
Weather conditions: Ewelme Dog Field is an outdoor facility, and customers are responsible for checking the weather forecast and deciding whether conditions are suitable for themselves and their dog before booking and attending. Weather conditions including rain, mud, heat, cold, frost, snow, wind, storms or other adverse or changing weather do not entitle a customer to cancel, transfer or receive a refund where the field remains open and available for use. Customers are responsible for dressing appropriately for the conditions, bringing anything their dog may reasonably require, and assessing whether their individual dog can safely exercise in the prevailing weather. If a customer decides that the weather is unsuitable for themselves or their dog, this remains the customer’s responsibility and does not entitle them to a refund, credit or alternative booking.
-
Field closures: Ewelme Dog Field may close a field where we reasonably consider conditions to be unsafe, where urgent maintenance is required, or where circumstances outside our reasonable control prevent the booking from being provided safely. If Ewelme Dog Field closes or cancels your session, your booking will be moved to another available date or time, or a refund will be provided where appropriate.

Parking.
To ensure a safe and smooth experience for all visitors, please follow our parking guidelines when using Ewelme Dog Field.
Parking Guidelines:
• Designated Parking Area: Please park only in the designated parking area and avoid blocking gates, driveways, or access routes. There is a waiting bay to park in while you wait for the customer before you. 3 cars maximum per booking! This applies to both fields.
• Arrival & Departure: Do not arrive more than 10 minutes before your booking and ensure you leave on time to allow space for the next visitor. Please do not arrive any earlier because this puts pressure on the person before you to leave the field and makes them feel uncomfortable.
• Gates & Safety: Always close and secure the gate behind you and secure the padlock when entering or leaving to maintain security for all users.
• Keep Dogs Secure: Dogs must remain in your vehicle until you are ready to enter the field. Please do not allow dogs to roam freely in the parking area and please do not stand outside the fence with your dogs. We regularly have customers with reactive dogs use the field and it’s unfair to put them and your dogs in a difficult situation.
• Respect Other Users: If another customer is finishing their session, please wait patiently in your vehicle until they have safely exited.
• Speed Limit: Drive slowly and carefully when entering or leaving the parking area to ensure the safety of all visitors, dogs, and farm animals nearby.
By following these guidelines, we can keep Ewelme Dog Field a safe and enjoyable space for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation!
