More about me -
I grew up locally, surrounded by Golden Retrievers, which sparked my lifelong love of dogs from an early age. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to share my life with a variety of breeds, including two German Shepherds and a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, each of whom has taught me something new about training, communication, and partnership.
My current dog is another Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, and together we continue to enjoy learning, training, and exploring new activities.
I have experience in a wide range of dog sports and enrichment activities, including Agility, Scentwork, Mantrailing, and Trick Training. These experiences have shaped my approach to training and strengthened my belief in the importance of keeping learning fun, engaging, and rewarding for both dog and owner.
I am particularly passionate about teaching Hoopers and cooperative care, helping dogs build confidence, body awareness, and positive associations with handling and everyday care.
In 2019, I completed the Canine Hoopers World Instructor Course and began running classes and 1-to-1 sessions in 2021. Alongside this, I continue to develop my skills and knowledge through ongoing learning and practical experience.
My training style is modern, kind, and force-free. I believe in building a strong partnership with your dog, where trust, understanding, and enjoyment are at the heart of everything we do. My goal is to help owners feel confident, supported, and empowered, while ensuring dogs feel safe, motivated, and happy to learn.
